Windows 10 PC Gamepass acting as if I have parental restrictions

I just redeemed my free 3 months of Xbox game pass for being a discord nitro subscriber and when I went to download Outer Worlds and hovered over the install button it restricted me from clicking it, I checked other games on gamepass(such as prey)and discovered that this was only for MA15+ rated games (Australia) but as far as I know I have zero parental restrictions set on my Microsoft account.

I was also wondering if this could be specifically related to it being a discord code however the install button not being restricted on games such as hello neighbour indicates to me it is more likely to be a parental restrictions problem.

Is anyone else having the same issue and/or is there a fix or workaround for it?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Setting parental restrictions

Hi Steven, my name is Max and I'm an independent advisor.

You need to have administrator rights to set up parental restrictions.

Parental consent and Microsoft child accounts

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/409027...

If you want to set up content restrictions, please log as an administrator to a Microsoft account and create a family group. I recommend that you provide administrator access to your local or standard user account.

    1. Open Settings, Accounts, Family & other users, Select the account owner name, Select Change account type

    2. Then select Administrator under Account type and click on OK

    3. Sign in using a new administrator account

It is also possible to create a new Microsoft user account with administrator rights. Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10

What is a Microsoft family group?

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12413/...

Add members to your family group

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12417/...

Once the family group is created, you can set up content restrictions

Set content restrictions on Windows 10 and Xbox One
