    Specs
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit version 1903
    Intel Core i7 7700K @ 4.20GHz
    16.0GB RAM
    Gigabyte B150M-D3H-CF
    GTX 1070 4095MB
    SSD: Apacer AS340
    HDD: WD 1863GB
    PSU: HEXA 500

This used to happen with Red Dead Redemption 2 until I upgraded my CPU and RAM. That fixed it for RDR2 but when I play Assassins Creed: Odyssey, my PC has gone back to freezing after about 15 minutes of gameplay. This problem has been occuring since I first built my PC back in 2016. Since then I have gotten a new HDD, SSD, GPU, CPU and RAM. The only thing I have never replaced is the motherboard and PSU. All my drivers are up to date and I have done countless disk and memory scans which show no problems. I can't even look at DUMP files due to having to hard reboot everytime. I've run out of ideas and have no clue how to fix this. Any ideas?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Can't play Hit It Rich game and system freezes

    Hi carmenstanley1,

    Thank you for your response.

I can understand how frustrating it would be. This issue might be due to corrupted profile or if the game is not installed completely. I suggest you to follow these steps and let us know if it works.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

    • Are you aware of any changes happened on the computer prior to this issue?
    • Have you tried playing this game on other browser (Google chrome or Mozilla) and check for the issue?

Step 1: Uninstall or Repair the game.

    1. Press Windows and
R key together on your Keyboard.
    2. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.
    3. Right click on the Hit it Rich app > Select Repair or uninstall it.
    4. Reinstall the application and check for the issue.

Step 2: Create a new local account.

The reason might be due to user account corruption, so I would suggest you to ‘Create
a local user or administrator account’
and check if the issue persists.

Note: You will not see all your files under your default file location.
So your data will be saved under C:\Users\User_name.

If you are facing issues with freezing, I would suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps on
Tips to improve PC performance in Windows
    10
    .

    Hope it helps.
