Windows 10: Windows 10 PC: Media Player doesn't play when using line headphones

When I try playing media on PC Media Player, it gives me this message


" Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."


There's also no sound from online platforms like youtube, facebook etc


But when I switch to Bluetooth speaker or headphones it works perfectly.


I've test the cable headphones on my laptop and they are working.


Can I get help please.

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

 

Windows Media Player doesn´t play podcasts - probs with aac audio and h.264 video

I tried the TCPMP yet - they removed the AAC plugin, so it doesn´t play them, too. I´ve been trying diverse downloads from different links to the TCPMP (0.72 RC1 and 0.71 as well), but none of them was with AAC :-(

I tried as well to install the ffmpeg plugin (for TCPMP), but that doesn´t work, too.

The messages after installing the TCPMP from the given URL http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/ looks like this: "Video codec (AVC aka H.264) not supported by the player" and "MPEG4 AAC Audio decoder not included (...) because of intellectual
property considerations" (whatever...)

This is driving me mad!

So my last hope was to improve the Windows Media Player with the codec...

Any suggestions??

 

Remove Play with Windows Media Player Context Menu in Windows 10  

Choose Default Apps in Windows 10 Windows 10 Apps Features Tutorials

Step 1. Open with > choose another app




Step 2, click More apps





Step 3. scroll down to the bottom of the list to find Look for another app on this PC





Step 4. browse and find Windows Media Player wmplayer.exe then click Open
