Windows 10: Windows 10 PC not automatically making system restore points

HI allI recently made the switch from Windows 7 Pro to 10 and just noticed that the system is not automatically making the amount of System Restore Points that 7 did. Those restore points have saved my bacon through the years, and I don't understand why 10 hasn't been making many there are only 2 showing, dated yesterday. I can create one myself, but I don't see them on the list for very long.What is the recommended disk space allocation? I never messed with that setting in 7, so something tells me that isn't the issue now.I'd really appreciate any info!JD

System restore point automatic create not working....need help.

Were you seeing CAPI2 errors with Macrium & System Restore.

And after enabling system protection.
1) Does System Protection automatically create and populate checkpoints to list.
Does System Protection create restore points when called by a program and populate checkpoints to list.

2) I'd like to confirm whether my issue is unique to me or common.
My issue is that I can manually create restore points okay and those manual created will populate to my list.
Automatic restore points do not populate to my list. Albeit, Task Scheduler shows Last Run time change.
Automatic restore points do not populate to my list e.g., with Windows Updates.
When create restore point is called by a program. I see activity that suggest restore point is being created ...but, again the activity does not translate to an entry in my list.

I followed your procedure again and still did not get a new restore point on startup.

I triple checked each step when setting up your procedure, the only point I am unsure about is the administrator setting. I am the only user of my PC so am I automatically the administrator?
