Windows 10: Windows 10 PC not recognising the external Seagate Drive

i plug this seagate drive in a blut tooth external connection. But the PC doesnt recognise the drive.. it recognises other drives but not this one

Seagate external drive not recognised in Windows 10

I have just updated my desktop PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Now when I plug my Seagate Backup Plus external drive into any USB port on the desktop I can't get access to the files on the external drive. The Seagate shows up as an "Unspecified" device
but the troubleshooting option does not work. However, the Seagate drive does work and is accessible on my laptop which is currently running Windows 8.1. Please help as this external drive has a lot of pictures and files on it that are very important to
me.

• Were you able to connect this external drive to another computer?
• Have you made any recent changes before you encountered this issue?
• Have you tried to unplug and use another USB port available?

External Seagate Drive not appearing after Creators Update

We appreciate the feedback, Pete. Getting in touch with Seagate support is one of your options. They may have recent or updated drivers for your external hard drive. In the meantime, since the hard drive is detected again when you unplug and replug it, we
suggest that you try changing the drive letter and its path and see if it addresses the issue. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click the Windows key and click Computer Management.
• Under Storage, click Disk Management.
• Find your Seagate External Hard Drive, right-click it and select
  Change Drive Letter and Paths.
• Click on Change and select the letter for the drive.
• Click OK, close all windows, then restart your computer.
