Windows 10: Windows 10 PC randomly shuts down simultaneously with momentary network loss of connectivity

This is a weird one..HP Windows 10 PC on a network of 6 HP PCs..randomly shuts down without warning like the power has been cut. This has been happening increasingly for several months. The weirdest part of it is that at the time it does this the network's ethernet connection to the broadband cuts out for ~30 seconds and re-connects itself. Extremely frustrating! It seems to have been an increasing problem incremented with recent MS updates and it has cost many hours of work in our organisation.The PC has had full Scan with two forms of professional anti-malware.The PC has been checked fo

lossing and reestablishing connection to network

I keep losing and reestablishing connection with my NETGEAR N300 Wireless USB Adapter (version 2.2.0.4), This had been happing in windows7 as well. I tried these steps

Windows 7

• Update driver in device manger
• uninstall and reinstalled the driver and program

Now that I have

Windows 10

• Update driver in 10 device manger
• Software update on Netgear Genie software
• uninstall and reinstalled the driver and program
• went to Services to see if the wireless was on auto

I went to log viewer it keeps giving me

Event 10400, NDIS

The network interface "NETGEAR WNA3100 N300 Wireless USB Adapter" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets.

Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset.

This network interface has reset 29 time(s) since it was last initialized.

(It went down 42 times yesterday which was windows 7)

I also got Event 4042, NCSI messges as well.

As it happens randomly and always happens on a bad time, i have forgot to check the logs and it has been hours already.

I've bought the tp-link adapter, should arrive by tomorrow or wednesday, hoping that will fix my issue. Will keep you guys updated. Thanks again!

I suggest checking out the event log in Windows. It's likely going to tell you why (to some degree,) why the network connection was lost. I haven't had this issue with wired connections but, with wireless it has almost always come down to drivers or a strange software bug which boiled down to how the driver operates.
