Windows 10: Windows 10 PC stuck at Loading Operating System

In case it may help someone. I had the subject problem I have two physical disks installed in a gigabyte m/c (mobo GA-Z68A-D3-B3). After much searching I discovered that the Hard Disk Priorities had been swapped in the BIOS causing it to attempt to load the operating system from the wrong disk. Swapping the priorities solved the issue. Apparently this "swap" can occur if the m/c is booted whilst a non-bootable USB device is attached.

It appears that there are some corrupted system files on your computer. We suggest that you try repairing your PC using a Windows 10 Bootable media. You can follow the steps provided by Yashwanth Kotakuri on this

Windows 10 stuck on loading operating system

Hi,

I've tried your suggestion but have had limited success. After setting bios, tried loading from bootable media many times without success.

I decided to leave it unplugged for a few days and get back to it. Once I did I put my windows 10 cd in the drive and started the pc. Funny thing was it came up as "loading operating system " but then it said to load from cd which I did.

I tried to do a system restore before the windows update with no luck. I restarted the pc and then it stated my windows 10 operating system and proceeded to my login. I got to my desktop and seemed like everything was working ok. I backed up a few things
before I shut down the pc.

The next day I started the pc thinking it would load ok but again it just showed on screen "loading operating system" and no matter what I did couldn't get it to load.

Is is there anything else you can suggest for me to do to try and resolve this problem?
