    how can I troubleshoot why my new, windows 10, update 2002 PC is running so slow? Especially for the first 10 minutes after PC startup.


    When I run task manager the disk usage percent shows as 100%. The top processes are microsoft anti maleware, google chrome installer, microsoft compatibility telemetry. they have been at the top of the list for over 5 minutes!


    I built this PC from components. ASUS motherboard, very fast Intel processor, seagate 2TB 256MB cache disk drive.


    All drivers from the motherboard were installed.


    When I right click device manager, disk drives, windows says the device is working properly. Write caching policy is checked. The disk driver provider is Microsoft. date 6/21/2006. version 10.0.19041.1 ST2000DM00802FR102


    how do I troubleshoot very poor performance on a windows 10 PC?
