Windows 10: windows 10 personalise theme crashes to desktop

windows 10 pro, 1903


so everytime i click on the theme (personalise ---> theme) it crashes, close the setting and back to desktop

any idea how to fix this?

already try the sfc scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth


not working. any kind of help will be much appreciate. thanks

Personalise the Desktop Themes

Thank you for taking time to answer my query, however this does not help me as in Windows 7 once the theme was selected, you could then go on to select or deselect the individual pictures in the theme. Also change the sound theme, not individual items but
the theme to things like Afternoon, or Seashore sounds. Also in the same place you could change the screensaver. All of this is gone from windows 10 personalisation.

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps:

          Personalize.

          Select themes from the left side of the page.
          
        • 
          Next select Themes settings.

          Select Get more Themes online.
