Windows 10: Windows 10 photo gallery will not open

I have been away for 4 days and now find that Windows will not open any photos giving me c\users\myname\pictures - "file system error" -2147219196


It was fine before I went away and my Panasonic photo programme will open them.


I have only had the computer for a few weeks. - Help Please!

Windows 10 Photo Gallery shortcut

Hi Robert,

To create a shortcut for Windows 10 Photo Gallery, follow these steps:

• Right-click on Photo Gallery, and then choose the Open file or folder location.
• A pop-up window will appear showing Photo Gallery, and then right-click on it.
• Select Send to> Desktop (create shortcut).

Photo Gallery failure under Windows 10.

Hi Rakesh, thanks for your response. I do not have another m/s account to try. I have followed your suggested steps including removing all files from Photo Gallery. I then was able to open Photo Gallery without a crash with no files loaded. I then tried
to reload a file on Photo Gallery and it crashed half way through the download. I then deleted this, and then used Photos to download successfully. No problem at all on Photos, but back on Photo Gallery it crashes again as it did before. Not really any progress
yet. Is there a next step please ?

 

Photo Gallery White Box Windows 10

I have just installed windows 10 and Photo Gallery comes up with a white/checkered box in the left hand corner of photos when I am editing them. I use Photo Gallery all the time to edit my photos. Please help me fix this problem. Someone suggested it
could be the Catalyst Control Centre in settings, but I don't know how to access this in Win 10. I will need step by step instructions.
