Trying to open screenshot images from one of my phones keeps on giving me "Windows Photo Viewer can't display this picture because there might not be enough memory available on your computer. Close some programs that you aren't using or free some hard disk space if it's almost full, and try again." error. I don't know why only THIS particular phone does this. The solution that works is to change the colour profile to "Agfa: Swop Standard". However, the problem is that the default colour of this laptop is too blue for me. I had always needed to calibrate it to a yellower tint reduce the blue

    :)

Fall Creators Update Colour Calibration Issue

Hello folks, first post on here.

My problem is the Fall Creators Update seems to have an issue with colour calibration - I have quite an old calibration tool by modern standards which is a Pantone Huey Pro, but it's worked perfectly from Windows 7 until the FC Update. Now the ICC profile won't stick and the screen is very bright with a magenta cast. I see other people are having problems with colour calibration with this update.

I've gone into Task Scheduler and tried disabling the Calibration Loader in 'Windows Colour System', then gone through the calibration procedure again as other forum posts have suggested, and all looks good until the moment comes to save the profile and exit the calibration procedure, then Windows reverts to the bright screen with magenta cast and loses the calibrated settings.

I'm a photographer so I'll need to get this sorted otherwise I can't accurately edit my photos. I've previously rolled back Windows but within days the FC Update forcibly installs again. Very frustrating!

    Can anyone help me please?

  3. Colour Calibration

Hi, thank you for your reply, it's a HP Notebook Device Name: LAPTOP9S8AUIJM and I'm running Windows 10.

I know how to get to the Calibrator and even how to work through it manually but I need the screen colour to be spot on as I take a lot of Photos which I put up for sale.

    Thank You

    Susan

Windows 10 Display/Screen colour calibration problem

I upgraded Windows 8 to Windows 10 three months ago. Win 10 has operated for me perfectly. However recently the display colour has intensified even though I have not changed colour calibration. Reds, Blues, Greens, etc, are now very intense. People's
faces on news websites, advertisements, Facebook, family photo's saved in My Pictures, etc, now look like they all have sun-burn. Banner heading colours are so intense the writing in the banner is almost blurred out by the intensity of the background colour
on the banner. This happened overnight and suddenly, not gradually. I have gone into Windows 10 - Settings - Display - Colour Calibration, and done a complete colour / brightness / contrast calibration set-up to see if that would fix the problem (as well
as restarted/shut down/rebooted) but this did not fix the problem. It is a real mystery. What more can I do? Thanks, Paul.

As a side note: I did let a junior relative of mine use my computer and set up a guest access account and he can be mischievous and a bit of a prankster (he's known for playing with family member's mobile/cell phones making their screens do odd tricks) so
I asked him if he had done something to my settings but he has pleaded innocence and at any rate I should be able to fix any changes executed by a guest using my computer in Win 10 Settings, yet all appears normal in Settings - Colour Calibration.
