Windows 10: Windows 10 Photos App Video Export Just Doesn't Work

<p>I was trying to simply merge two MP4 videos. Size of the videos is 20 MB &amp; 2 MB So Small Videos</p><p>As soon as i try to create an export of the videos by clicking on Finish Video and then Selecting any Video Quality &amp; Checking or Un-Checking Hardware Accellerated Encoding. It simply gets stuck at the Exporting Window. </p><p>It just doesn't move or show any progress at all no matter what i try.</p><p></p><p>I have tried the Application troubleshooter.</p><p>I have tried to uninstall Via Powershell and re-install the application from the Microsoft App Store.</p><p>I have tried to Re-start the system several times.</p><p></p><p>But nothing just seems to be working.</p><p>Is this really something beyond the capability of this application?&nbsp;</p><p>Please help with your expert opinions on this issue.</p><p></p><p>I wish the Windows Movie Maker application from Win7 would have been continued, it was slow but got the job done.</p><p></p><p>Thanks,</p><p>Suvrat</p>

Windows 10 built in photos app not exporting video

I have Windows 10 build 1809. I created a video with the built in Photos app, when I try to export the video it does not give the option to save the video to any location. The app just says exporting then goes back to the editing screen.

I've searched for the video file in file explorer with the modification date when the video was exported with no results. Using Power shell I uninstalled the photos app. I didn't get any feedback from Power shell was finished uninstalling the photos app. After that I reinstalled the app with the store. Of course I repeated the export process I got the same results.

I'm thinking of re-registering the photos app, but I think I'll get the same results. I'm hoping that I don't need to do a in place upgrade. Where should I go next?

Windows 10 Photo App video export/share problems

When trying to export/share video on the Photo App the resulting video is rubbish to say the least. Before sharing/exporting it seems fine.

I am running the latest Windows 10 and Photo App:

I am not using 3rd party apps

The video is created and exported in the Photo App

I have applied all the troubleshooting steps. Just to pre-empt garbage responses the ISSUE is microsoft specific - not thrid party app, not a hardware issue.

Now please offer a resolution

 

Windows Photos Export Video Project Problem

We understand the difficulties you are facing with the Photos App, while exporting video project. We were able to create and export the video project. So the issue could be with photos app installed in the PC. I would suggest you
to follow the steps mentioned in these methods.



Method 1: Please refer the steps as mentioned in

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store article.



Method 2: You can also try to re-install the app using PowerShell. Here are steps to re-install photos app:

1. Open PowerShell (Admin). Right click on the start button and then on PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. Then type: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
   
3. Once the above command is successful. You can install the Photo app from Microsoft Store.
