Windows 10: Windows 10 PIN stops working overnight

So the strangeness starts with the fact that if my computer updates and resets it doesnt replay my YT videos. So I had woken up to the login screen with one playing in the BG. I have the option to sleep and everything disabled to avoid this, but I thought no biggy until I entered the PIN I had used literally the day before. Nothing. No alternative sign options no warning it's been changed. Nothing.


Seen several other people have this issue but end up getting ignored or suggested a thread that actually never helped. This is my own personal computer as well. This is the very first time its happened to me.

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
• Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
• Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
• Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.
