Windows 10: Windows 10. Please stop stealing my Bandwidth

My parents live in rural areas and sometime I need to help to submit form etc from anydesk. And the internet is so slow due to windows. First windows update comes eating every bandwidth. After that windows defender comes. Looks like windows doesn't understand the meaning of metered connection. After that outlook etc starts updating.

My parents aren't pro in tech that I can install linux but it seems windows isn't doing very well.

The mobile network gives like 2-3mbps and windows background process, system, defender, svhosts etc are eating those always that I can't even website. I have to kill those process and they comes again after 1minute .

Please stop this nonsense.

Are you at all aware of these options?




Further, if you have Pro, set Updates to Notify in group policy.. that way no Windows update starts until YOU approve it.

(App updates are another issue)

Stop Windows from Stealing Your Bandwidth!

This is known in the tech world, but there are some if not a lot that do not know about it. So I thought why not make a post. If there is a tutorial let me know, and I'm sure you will! Windows by default steal's your bandwidth. Unheard of I know! But there is a fix and you can stop M$ from doing this. Home and Pro versions can do this, and because I'm a lazy sh*% I'll post a video on how to accomplish this. It's super easy and you will see a difference. I did this myself in gpedit.msc, regedit for home, and yes, I did see a difference. What do you think? Did it make a difference for you?
