Windows 10: Windows 10 pnp device id error

I removed 3 SATA drives from an old Windows 10 desktop. I am trying to access the data by using a USB 3.0 to SATA cable. A drive is displayed in the Devices list but doesn't show up in the File Explorer. When I look in the System Information I see this error.I tried accessing the error details, but nothing happens when I click on "Error..."I can use the mouse to eject it.Any ideas on how to get it to show up in File explorer?

Pnp device instance id

Hi,

I was reading about drivers and PNP, and i was wondering- does the instance-specific-ID is in case sensitive?

<device-ID>\<instance-specific-ID>

I have an id:

\VEN_10B7&DEV_9905&SUBSYS_110210B7&REV_02\4&19d8fe94&0&00F0

and it contains both lowercase and uppercase letters in the instance-specific-ID part. Does it matter?

'Generic PnP monitor' issue

Hello Angelica,

I would suggest you follow steps to update the monitor driver:

Press Windows + X keys

Choose Device manager

Click on Monitors

Right click on ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and click on update driver

Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

When you are done please restart the computer.

 

pnp errors

i am rohit. My laptop is facing a problem regarding pnp devices.

In the Devices & Printers it is showing as Problem with PnP devices. After troubleshooting is says "There are problems with some PnP devices. Windows will take additional steps to further troubleshoot these devices." and ask for a restart, but after restarting
the problem is still the same. What should I do?
