After doing so I notice the charging icon charges up to 99 or 100%, and then shuts off, cutting on and off every few seconds as it cycles between full and almost full charge. I do not seem to recall this cycling in the past. I verify the charger is fine cause when I let the battery run down to say, 80%, the charger icon is on continuously until battery reaches full again This doesnt bother me, but the the constant system beeping does! Looking at various online helps, it shows how to disable System Beep, but running w

    • In the “Troubleshooting” window, click on “View All” on the left pane.

    • Click on “Power”.

    • Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Generic power management in Windows 10

    Hi Irfan,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We appreciate you for being part of Windows 10.

I would suggest you to try the below methods and check if it helps in resolving your issue.

Method 1: Run the Power Troubleshooter.

Power troubleshooter will automatically fix some common issues with Power Plans. Run the Power troubleshooter to adjust your computer's power settings. The Power troubleshooter checks things like your computer's timeout settings,
which determine how long the computer waits before turning off the monitor display or entering sleep mode. Adjusting these settings can help you conserve power and extend your computer's battery life.

    • Press Windows key + W and type
      Troubleshooting
      .
    • Select Troubleshooting and click on
      System and Security.
    • Click on Power and follow the onscreen steps.
Also try the steps below and check if it helps.

    • Type Power Options in Search. Click on it to open.

    • Then on the left side click on Choose what power button does.
I would suggest you to click on below link and refer to the section “How do I choose a different power plan”:
