  1. Windows 10 power options problem

    Good day all!

I am having issues with power settings. I have my system set up so that the monitor shuts off after x amount of time and the system sleeps after y amount of time. My monitor never auto shuts off, however, and as a result the system never sleeps. If I set 'turn monitor off' to never, the system WILL go to sleep after the designated time.

I've gone into cmd prompt and looked at powercfg /requests and /lastwake. The culprit appears to be "High Definition Audio Controller". I've scoured the web on how to fix this. In device manager, none of the drivers can wake from sleep mode. There are no wake alerts. If I disable the driver I lose all audio. The driver is up to date. I thought the issue was the receiver to my wireless xbox controller but it's not.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance!
