    Windows 10 Preparing Automatic Repair loop


    Hi everyone.

    Recently I got a new gaming PC which came with windows 7. The day after i upgraded to windows 10 and it was working fine. Yesterday i was using my PC and then the task bar disappeared so i decided to restart the computer to try and fix it. When the computer turned on again it went through the normal startup process but when it got to the windows logo it said preparing automatic install and then kept looping through startup and the windows logo. I have tried doing the system repair but when I press F8 nothing happens, so right now all i can do on the computer now is access the BIOS.

    pls help.

    Stuck in Windows defender offline start-up loop.

    Heres my problem. Windows 10 on start-up> Preparing automatic repairs> Window Defender Offline> performs scan> restarts> goes right to
    'Preparing Automatic repairs' and we begin this loop over and over again.

    Windows 10 Preparing Automatic Repair loop

    Hi have you looked in Tutorials at top of page to see about the fix in there.
    Also Have you tried CTRL+ALT+DEL which will take you to a menu where several options are available for you to try and repair your computer

    The problem is that I can't access advanced start up options so i am unable to do a repair install of windows

    Hello, F8 is not available by default in Win 10.
    You could try the repair options available from a bootable Win 10 CD.
    Windows 10 - if you don't have one already.

    However the fault sounds a bit more obscure- taskbar disappearing... so if you can get your PC booting again, you will probably need to do more diagnostics.

    ** Highly recommended- if you don't have adequate backups, before trying any repair actions, create a full disk image using e.g. Macrium Reflect or Aomei Backupper (free) - bootable CD + external drive needed.
