Windows 10: Windows 10 Printer Access Denied!!

I have a Brother HL-L2370DW printer that I have connected via USB cord to my Windows 10 computer.


However, I am unable to print anything from my computer because the printer doesn't show up as available. I have checked my devices, and instead of showing up as a printer, it shows up as an unspecified device. I can't seem to find a way to fix this issue, for every time I try to add a printer, I get messages saying "Access is Denied".


I have also downloaded the latest drivers onto my computer, but even after I opened up the properties of my device, I was shown a message saying that a driver update had been found but windows couldn't install it because access is denied.


I would really appreciate any help that I can get with this issue!!

Printer fails to install driver (access denied) in Windows 10 ver. 1607

I have a Canon Pixma iP6000D printer that has worked fine on my Windows 10 machines since Windows 10 came out. I just tried to access it from my Surface Pro 4 for the first time since updating to build 1607 (Anniversary), and it won't load the driver for
the printer. Device Manager has it listed under "Other devices" and when I try to update the driver from there (either search Windows update, or install the driver already on my machine) I get an "Access Denied" error. When I run Windows Update both through
Settings and the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit, it gets through downloading the driver for the printer, but then gives me an "Access Denied" error.

Originally I was also having this problem on my Thinkpad running Insider Builds, but since updating it to build 14915 last night, the printer works fine again.

Any suggestions? Is this a known issue with ver. 1607 build 14393.105 that I can expect to be fixed in an upcoming patch? Is there something else I can try?

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Unable to access Wireless printer on Windows 10

I understand the inconvenience your facing with accessing printer, do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Have you tried to connected the printer via wired connection and check?
• Did you connect this printer to different computer and check?
• Were you able to see any error message with this issue?

I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Steps to remove printer drivers from Device manager:

• Press Windows + R keys from the keyboard to open
  Run command.
• Type devmgmt.msc in Run window to open
  Device Manager window.
• Under Print queues, right click on the printer and
  uninstall.

Try to install the right drivers for the Printer from the Manufacturer’s website.

Step 2: I suggest you to check the status of
Print Spooler service and check.

Description: Print Spooler service, spools print service and handles interactions with the printer.

If you turn off this service you won’t be able to print or see your printer.

Steps:

• Press Windows + R to open Run command, type
  Services.msc and press Enter.
• Search for Printer Spooler service, right click on it and
  Start the service.
• Also, set the Startup type to Automatic.
• Now check if you are able to install the driver.
