Windows 10: Windows 10 printer communication errors

I have two windows 10 systems and have connected an epson dx8400 printer to both, neither will complete the driver set up as says cannot communicate with device. I have tried this on a linux system, which is a dual boot, and all works fine. I have checked and apparently this came about because of an update to windows 10. Can some please tell me what updates I need to install to get over this problem. Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 OS Build 19045,4529 it is the same on both systemsThanks in advance

Method 2: Alsoinstall the latest drivers for printer driver from the manufacturer's website for Windows 10 and check if it helps.
