Windows 10: Windows 10 printer driver needed for Konica Minolta Magicolor 5430DL

I just purchased a new pc with the Windows 10 operating system. I want to use this computer with my Konica Minolta Magicolor 5430DL colour laser printer. The Konica Minolta web site does not appear to have a link to download the driver I need. Can anyone help???

Thanks for posting your experience with Windows 10 and Konica Minolta 1350W printer Regardless of what Microsoft, Konica Minolta and others trying to help have said so far, there is no Windows 10 driver for the 1350W.

Windows 8.1 has a Konica Minolta 1350W driver built into it. My 1350W worked with 8.1 but does not work with 10.

If anyone knows the answer, please let us know.

This is really weird. I have tried HP printers which are much older than the 1350W and they work!!

Cannot locate Windows 10 driver download for Konica Minolta 1350W laser printer.

1 person was able to install the driver. See compatibility site.

Any help is appreciated.

 

I guess that the latest drivers available are for Windows 8. They may well work.

I don't seem to be able to link to them directly.

I wish that peripheral manufacturers supported their products through more OS changes, but they get no revenue from that. On the other hand, a quick web search finds reviews of the 5430DL from 2004, so it's not exactly a recent product.

 

Crap - I'm going to continue badgering Konica-Minolta to see if I can get them moving on this issue. It's a shame that I have a perfectly good printer that I cannot use with my new pc (sadface)!

 

Along with "sell more new products", technology required for new/newer OS make the product hardware incompatible.

I recently had to scrap a perfectly good Roland/Edirol MIDI keyboard because it was a discontinued item (it was an early 2000 introduced product that was discontinued about 5 or 6 years ago) and Roland opted to not continue with driver support for Win 10. Can't really fault the vendor for not supporting that old a product. Current production Roland products are supported in Win 10.
