Windows 10 Pro (10586.11) mysteriously became Not Activated

My Windows 10 Pro (10586.11) mysteriously became Not activated this morning after returning from sleep. First, I tried restarting my computer which ended up in limbo. It really never completed restarting and it became stuck waiting for Shutdown. Finally had to hard restart with power button. After restarting completely this time it was still Not activated. I went to Activation in Settings and entered the generic Windows 10 Pro product key VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T and it is now showing Windows is activated. (Digital entitlement)

    Windows 10 won't activate

I initially upgraded to Windows 10 from the tech-preview series. After a harddrive failure, I replaced it with a new one and did a fresh Windows 10 install (which updated to build 10586.11). It won't activate. kindly help.

  3. Boot issue on Windows 10 GA Build 10586 (TH2)

    Hi,

I have 2 Sony Vaio laptops with W 10 Pro x64 & W 10 Home x64, ( both with clean installation of build 10240 and updated to 10586.11 via WU), they both showing the flashing boot logo after the update to build 10586, so it's not only an Asus issue.

Hopefully M$ will fix that issue asap.

I'm also seeing that issue on my W 10 PRO system with the latest build:

It never occurred to me to do that. I just used the last known product key that worked for me.
