Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro 1909 SNMP missing

I recently upgraded windows 10 from home to pro. I need SNMP with WMI for a specific software. I was able to add both features via apps and features and the service shows it is running but I am not able to install the software I need. It goes to check windows features for both SNMP and WMI and fails to load due to the features not showing there. My understanding is this was an 1809 issue and was resolved in later releases. I have ran the DSIM health check and scan and my system shows no corrupt or missing files. How can I get SNMP and WMI to show in windows features?

I just installed a fresh new copy of windows 10 and did all the updates to 1803. When i went to enable SNMP the option is outright missing from the windows features. How can I fix this so i can enable SNMP on my new windows 10 installation?

It's not in the services but the SNMP Trap is.

system file checker to repair missing files.

Is the "SNMP Service" unavailable in Windows 10?

Adding the SMTP service to a Windows OS seems quite straightforward in almost all cases: open the Windows Features interface, then check the "Simple Network Management Protocol" option. After rebooting, a new local service should be available called "SNMP Service".

I've followed those steps in Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, but I find that there is no "SNMP Service" to be found. There is an "SNMP Trap" service, but that's apparently not what I'm looking for. It seems the SNMP agent settings (eg. community name) can only be modified within the properties of "SNMP Service".

In my searching, I found a Powershell command purported to install the SNMP service:

However, the result is an error message (even when run as Administrator):

The words "client-based operating system" suggests the SNMP service is only available for Windows Server OSes, but that wasn't true for Windows 7/8. So I'm curious whether this has changed with Windows 10.
