Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro 202H my system isn't seeing it's self or any other PC on the network after...

Dell Optiplex 7020, I7, 32GB ram, ect, ect, ect.

So, i installed Windows 10 thinking it's going to be an improvement and suddenly my computer can't see itself of any other computers on the network.


I have all the "advanced sharing settings" wide open, i tried public/private network, i tried business/home network, i went to services.msc and put DHCP, both Function Discoveries, SSDP, and UPNP on full "automatic" just to be safe. Same workgroup as my other PC, shared drives and wow, to no surprise, it sees media, multifunction, network infrastructure, printers, and scanning devices but it can't even see its self.



My other PC, that's running 2004 version of Windows 10 sees all computers just fine.


So, what's going on and why can't my computer see it's self and the other computers on the network suddenly?



Nothing seems to work. Oh, and for the record, Way to "not" go on wiping out the old "System" menu that worked perfectly for ages and forcing us to go into multiple links to get the same info. Fix what isn't broken and make it more "inefficient". Nice job, guys.

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Help needed with simple wired network

Step one- Connect all PC's to router, and then the router to the modem. PC's go to router by the ports labeled "1-4" on the back of the router. WAN port goes to router. Power up all network equipment, and then systems.
Step two- Power on the computer connected to port one. Go into router settings at 192.168.0.1 and configure internet, dyndns, firewall, etc.
Step three- Go to "network set up wizard" in windows. (Network places- network set up wizard). The rest is self explanatory.
Step four- right click on each drive and printer you want to share, and then configure sharing preferences. Should be easy enough.
Step five- right click my computer, and the select "map network drive". Using the network address for each piece of hardware you shared, assign network drive letters.
