Windows 10: Windows 10 pro 64 bit airplane mode on desktop

To anyone having problems with AIrplane mode randomly turning on on your desktop.

I tried checking for viruses, installed new network card drivers.
Turned off power saving mode on network card.
Disabled wifi and uninstalled wifi adapter.
Edited registry and did the radioenable 0 step.

None of this worked

After 2 weeks this is how i solved it.

Uninstalled the following windows updates.

• December 13, 2016—KB3206632 (OS Build 14393.576)
• December 9, 2016 —KB3201845 (OS Build 14393.479)
• November 9, 2016 - KB3200970 (OS Build 14393.448)
• November 8, 2016 - KB3200970 (OS Build 14393.447)
• Problem is now resolved 2 days and no airplane mode when in the middle of competitive matches on steam.

Hope this post helps someone. And Microsoft needs to get their crap together and get this fixed.

Why is Airplane Mode always on since the latest Windows 10 update?

A short time ago I asked this question - "Same issues with my Surface Pro 4. If I point to the airplane icon, it says all wireless connections are off. If I click on it, it shows both wireless and airplane mode solid blue - wireless and bluetooth are
both on. Don't see any mention of this issue in the 14367 blog - will that build fix this issue?" - another bit of information is that I only have this problem with my new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - in my old IBM ThinkPad which I upgraded to Windows 10, the
Airplane mode functions as it should. Both have the same OS Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.420). One would think it would be the other way around with less issues with a Microsoft computer and Microsoft OS. Not sure if it has anything to do with it but the
IBM has a 32 bit operating system, the Surface Pro has a 64 bit operating system.

 

[Windows 10] Airplane mode OSD won't show up after reboot

I have a notebook has a Airplane mode hot key (Fn++F2). It works fine on Windows 8/8.1: when the key pressed, there is a Airplane mode on/off OSD show up at top-left corner and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth are turned
off accordingly.

On Windows 10, however, OSD won't show up until I press other keys like Volume Up, Down or Mute, after that, the Airplane mode OSD works just fine. (Airplane mode function always work, the problem is no
OSD)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Reboot system

2. Press Airplane mode hot key (problem: no OSD)

3. Press Volume up hot key (volume OSD show up at top-left corner)

4. Press Airplane mode hot key again (Airplane mode OSD shows up)

Follow above steps, you can 100% reproduce the problem.

- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 10240 (other insider preview has same problem)

 

OH YAH!! I have so much rage in me right now over this it's unreal. For the first time in 5 yrs i almost did a fresh install and still might due to this ( not sure how to word it properly) lack of skill, from Microsoft. I just bought a MAC and now will be only using my PC for games, mail etc. RIDICULOUS!!! Updates always come in and things get way, WAY outta hand. Realtek drivers, now this. All that money and still can not get it right.

I am trying out your method now as i type this. I never thought of this, probably because my mind is elsewhere, but will touch base if it does. I was fine 4 days ago. Now with a major project due tomorrow...
