Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Edition 2004 Update Entire PC Lags/Stutters/Hitches

After the update, my PC has a lot of issues. Most notably the whole system would stutter. It's gotten to a point where it is quite noticible. It happens at random times so it is hard to reproduce. Just simply booting up Windows and sitting on the desktop, Windows would display a very noticible lag. I do not think its a simple mouse lag.

    I have tried:

    - Complete reinstall of Windows 10, without deleting personal files

    - Connected wireless mouse directly to the usb port

    - Reinstalled Graphics drivers, several times with Display Driver Uninstaller

    - Installed the latest bios

    :)

    GPU-Z update loop (Windows 10 64-bit)

I don't have better steps - this is all, I have nothing to add.

Maybe it is worth noting issue was on Windows 10 Enterprise, build 14393.187, so maybe you should test on the same.
My other PCs have a different Windows 10 version - Pro, latest Insider Preview build from last week, and there is no such issue on those.
All are 64-bit edition of Windows 10.

This issue is not new. I have had same 1-2 years ago too, with older GPU-Z versions.

EDIT: And yes, I have Windows 10 UAC enabled and set to defaults. If you are using your Windows PCs with UAC off, you likely cannot reproduce this issue. *Smile Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Edition 2004 Update Entire PC Lags/Stutters/Hitches :)

Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit April Update cause sound interupts and stuttering

    Hi Windows gurus!

    After Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit April Update build 1803 17134.48 (but not before);

I notice that the sound is stuttering, even the simplest windows sounds. If playing longer sound clips (mp3 or video ) there are stuttering or interupts for about 0.5 -1 second every 15 seconds, which can be a bit annoying to say the least.

When this occurs are the resources as following:

    cpu 7% (it goes up to 9% during stuttering), mem 35% (2,8 of 8GB) , Disk 0%, Ethernet S: 0 M:0 GT730 0%, GPU Mem=1,2/6,0GB, Shared GPU Mem=0,0/4, 0GB

In perfmon is the task "system interupt" DCP calls... often on top cpu% when the stuttering occurs.

There are no reported conflict in device manager.

This happens with or without network cable attached.

I did never ever experience this oprior the Win 10 April update, and then I have stressed the box quite heavily.

I have tried two different graphics card (one at a time) to be sure it hasn't anything to do with broke graphics card) .

    1. Nvidia Geforce GT 730 2GB
    2. Nvidia Geforce GT 640 3GB
    DDR2 8GB RAM, SSD, Inter Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.2GHz

    Driver Nvidia 2018-05-07 24.21.13.9764

Even if I use the default Microsoft graphics driver there is stuttering, on both cards.

I got Realtek High definition Audio sound driver installed. I have disabled Nvidia High definition Audio unit /driver.

If there are no plausible resolve, I probably install a fresh windows 8.1 or 10 and disable windows update.

    Please advice,

Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Edition 2004 Update Entire PC Lags/Stutters/Hitches

Updating from Windows 7 Pro 64-bit to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

I wish to update from Windows 7 Pro 64-bit to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I purchased from Walmart a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit full version DVD. However, when the DVD arrived, it was accompanied by an enclosed notice which contained several warnings including:

    • Save all of your important files, documents, drivers, pictures BEFORE you install this software. This install will clean and erase everything on your PC.
EVERYTHING!!!! You can use this software to "repair" an old install.
    • This OEM software supports refurbished, new and used, branded and non-branded PCs and laptops.
I should add that I have NOT opened the sealed plastic bag containing the DVD, which is in a white paper sleeve. I can see that the DVD has a label stating "Intended for distribution with a refurbished PC". My computer is not refurbished -- it is a fully
    operational machine.

Did I buy the wrong product? I do not wish to lose any data / applications, etc. If I ran the DVD, would I get an opportunity to specify what I wanted to save or is the warning notice accurate? If the warning is accurate, what version of Windows 10 should
I purchase if I want to retain my data / applications?

Thank you for any advice you can give me.
