Windows 10: WINDOWS 10 PRO 64 Bits not detecting full Memory / RAM

Hi,My System is operated by WINDOWS 10 PRO 64 Bits OS.When the system was built couple of years back it was having total of 32 GB RAM 16GBx2 couple of days back another 32 GB 16GBx2 of same type of RAM were installed having exactly latency, voltage etc but the OS is showing Installed RAM 64GB & Usable RAM 63.8 GBWhy is this happening?Is there any settings which needs to be made for getting full 64 GB of RAM detected?Pl. clear the doubt.Regards

BSOD after RAM upgrade on Windows 10 pro 64 bit

I have emailed all details to Kingston tech support, ANZ. They are working on it. memtest86, starts running for 3 seconds, and the system reboots, so there is no conclusive report generated to suggest that the memory has problems.

Before buying the RAM, I have cross checked with Crucialscan, the specs of the motherboard and cpu, all of which suggest it supports upto 8gb of RAM, but the RAM may not run on a higher frequency like 1600 or 2133 MHz, because the frequency supported by
the motherboard is 1333mhz, and the cpu has an integrated memory controller and limites that to 800mhz.

And Kingston RAM specs say, it can run at lower frequencies and we do not have to do any changes for that.

And, indeed, when I installed Windows 7 pro 32 bit, cpu-z reports show that RAM is running at 399mhz each unit, totalling to 800mhz.

So, the conclusion here is difficult, and hence all chaos over this because, Windows 10 64 bit and memtest86 behave in similar manner, whereas, Windows 7 pro 32 bit is fine with it. Don't have the facility to check with Windows 7 64 bit or Windows 10 32
bit though.

Unable to do that this point of time.

 

upgradation from 32 bit windows 10vpro to 64 bit windows 10 pro

I have 8 GB RAM but only 2.55 GB is usable. So I am thinking of upgrading to 64 bit version of windows 10 so that I can get access to more of my RAM.

Current Windows Specifications:

Currently I have Windows 10 Pro 32 bit (version 1903) that is activated using a digital license linked to my Microsoft account.

Current Processor Specifications:

I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70 GHz 2.90 GHz, x64 based processor.

Can someone please tell me step by step Instructions on how to upgrade to windows 10 pro 64 bit from windows 10 pro 32 bit using iso file?

Moreover I don't have product key. My windows is activated using digital license. So will I be able to activate the windows after upgrading to 64 bit?

Note: Please give me step by step and a well elaborated procedure. I am not that techy.

Starting with my W7 Ultimate 32-Bit Desktop; add Memory and Replace SSD; load W7 Ultimate 64-Bit; Upgrade to 64-bit Windows 10 Pro.

My Desktop

Processor: Intel i5-2500k

Motherboard: Intel DH67BL

Memory: Crucial 2x2Gb = 4GB Plus Crucial 2x8Gb = 16Gb Total = 20Gb

SSD: Intel X-25 Series 320 80Gb (C: OS, Programs, Program Data, etc.)

Replace with Samsung 850 Evo 250GB

HDD: Western Digital 1 Tb (D: User Data)

Windows 7 Ultimate Product Box (Copyright 2009) containing

Product Key

32 Bit Disk

64 Bit Disk

Upgrade steps:

  Make hardware upgrades (in bold)
  
• 
  The new SSD is empty. Load the W7-64 Bit disk into the disk drive hoping it will led to a W7-64 Bit install on the SSD (C: drive).
  
• 
  The W7 Ultimate version will be a revision corresponding to when my PC was new (about 2010). Upgrade PC to the latest version of W7.
  
• 
  Use the Library function to relink user data to my D: drive data.
  
• 
  Use the invitation from Microsoft to invoke the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.
