  1. Windows 10 Pro - accidently removed elevated rights from admin account

When i first gotr my PC, I created a specialist admin account with elevated rights in addition to the user accounts I use routinelyI don't know how I did it but I accidentally removed the elevated rights from my administrative account so now it is a user account without privileges. I am now stuck as every attempt I make to resolve the situation is blocked by a request to enter an admin account and credentials that I no longer have. Why did Windows allow me to do this? Windows should not have allowed me to eliminate my only admin account. I assume that my only solution is to reinstall Windo

    :)

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.

    Accidently lost Admin account

    Hello and welcome to TenForums!

If you can, use system restore to revert back to a previous point when things were working. and then you can try again to avoid entering the password by using the following tutorial. Due to the fact that you seem to have lost Admin rights you may find this difficult to do unless you can boot from a recovery disk and access the advanced startup options.

Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup

If you really did want to remove a password from your account you can do this (but I suggest you are more secure with a password):
