Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro Activation Troubleshoot Error Code 0x80070002

I have an issue where my Windows License somehow deactivated itself a few days ago, causing it to have the "Activate Windows" watermark to appear and disable my access to personalize. I have attempted to restart Windows but the watermark will reappear in the next 3-4 hours. A troubleshoot attempt was made but it unfortunately has encountered with error code: 0x80070002 making it difficult.Greatly appreciate if anyone can help with a solution on this.I ]

0x80070002 error code in windows update

My windows 10 version is Home, 20H2. Build 19042.630I'm trying to download cumulative update KB4592438. I keep getting 0x80070002 error code.






I also ran the windows troubleshooter and it says that it fixed the issue, but I still keep getting the same error. Here's the detailed report.



I also did multiple reboots of my laptop. I ran sfc/scannow but it didn't find any errors. What should I do to resolve this issue?

 

Windows 10 Pro Activation Troubleshooting Error 0x80070002

Hi All,

Would really appreciate if someone can advise me on the following error:

- This is a custom built pc I bought 4 years back that came pre-installed with windows 10

- Have had no problems until recently an "activate windows" watermark appeared in the lower right corner of the screen

- When I go to settings it states that "windows is not activated", and also in red "something interrupted our troubleshooting. make sure you're connected to the internet, wait a few minutes and try again. Error code: 0x80070002.

- If I click Troubleshoot a prompt comes up "we can't activate your copy of windows. make sure you're connected to the internet..."

- I tried clicking change product key, but when I input the code and clicked activate I received "something interrupted our troubleshooting. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, wait a few minutes, and try again. (0x80070002)"

I really hope that there is a solution out there that doesn't involve me having to re-install windows. If anyone has any suggestions thank you in advance!

As an initial troubleshooting step, we suggest that you run the Activation troubleshooter and try activating Windows 10 Pro again. To run the Activation troubleshooter, follow these steps:

• Click Troubleshoot.
