Windows 10: windows 10 pro activation with retail keys fails with error code 0x803fa067

I have a windows 7 64-bit professional edition PC with a activated/valid/legal retail license. I've purchased two different Windows 10 Pro retail licenses from two different legitimate third party resellers. After upgrading my PC using the media creator tool "upgrade now", instead of "create media", I am unable to activate Windows 10 pro with any windows 10 pro license. The error message when I choose to "enter a different key" is:Unable to Activate WindowsWe can't activate windows on this PC because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. Windows 10 Pro retail 0xc004c003 and 0x803fa067 activation errors

Hi all,

I recently bought a second hand laptop from a company which was selling them in bulk. The laptop had a freshly installed windows 10 Pro. I was told that the laptop has a digital license, it has a sticker with Windows logo Pro, but no code.

However, it shows 0xc004c003 and 0x803fa067 errors in the Activation window, and an always present watermark to Activate Windows in on the screen.

I tried troubleshooting but did not help. I tried to recover a key from bios but did not help. I tried to restore laptop so even fresher windows got installed but it did not help.

The windows script host shows Win pro edition, Retail channel, 3v66T partial code, and notification reason: 0xc004f034

Could you help me and give some hints what I can do? What may be the reason of the issue? Please let me know if any other information is needed

Windows 10 Pro activation error (0x803fa067)

Hi,

I upgraded Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro using VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T generic product key, but when I wanted to active it by the purchased product key ( ends -7MH26) I received the 0x803fa067 error code. How can this be resolved? Any ideas?

Error 0x803fa067 when upgrading fresh install Windows 10 Home to Pro using default key

Hi John,

I'm actually trying to follow the workflow suggested in the Workaround section of that link. I'm using the default product key as suggested and that is when I'm encountering this error. Is there any reason that using the default Windows 10 Pro key would
fail? I've tried re-installing Windows 10 again from USB again and then trying to use the default key to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, but I receive the same errors, which are 0x803fa067 or 0xc3f6506.
