Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro Activation

My problem started when it seemed my hard drive was going bad so I made a System Image Backup. I then formatted my hard drive and did a System Image Restore. The restored to work OK as far as all my login information and files and applications were all there but it shows my Windows is not activated. Also my Microsoft 365 apps now say they need repair but it never repairs. I have a Genuine Microsoft Windows 10 Pro CD I purchased so I have an activation key. When I go to Settings/update and Security/activate, it says "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you have a valid license or key, select troubleshoot below." Error code: 0xC004F012.


When I try troubleshoot, it comes back and says "Troubleshooting has completed. We can't activate Windows on this device right now. You can try again later or go to the store and buy a genuine Windows. 0xc002001b.


When I go to "Change Product Key" and enter the product Key I purchased and had been working for several years, I get the message, "The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again or enter a different one. 0xc002001b


I have googled link after link on tips and doing what the Microsoft experts wanted me to try, including running SLUI 4 and several different SLMGR.VBS -DLV or -CPKY or -ATO and they all give the same Windows script host error, "0xc002001b On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xc002001b to display the error text".


I've got 3 Microsoft open cases for this by talking to 3 different Microsoft technicians who have asked me to do all the things I googled and a few new things but nothing has worked. I can't believe this is so hard to fix by someone from Microsoft experts. I am at a complete loss on what to do except buy another key and do another clean install, which I shouldn't have to do because I should be able to use the one I purchased.

Windows 10 Activation Error: 0xC004F034

This error code is usually caused by a problem with the product key. For better assistance, we would like to clarify how you got the Windows 10 Pro? Is it supplied by a company?

As an initial troubleshooting step, we suggest that you run the Activation troubleshooter and try activating Windows 10 Pro again. To run the Activation troubleshooter, follow these steps:

• Click the Start button and select the Settings
  icon.
• Choose Update & Security from the list.
• Select Activation in the left pane of the window.
• Click Troubleshoot.

If your Windows 10 Pro is supplied by a company, we recommend that you get in touch with your organization's support for assistance with the activation.

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

Download Windows 10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.
