Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro App Store won't automatically update by itself

Hi there!

Quick question, I've tried multiple times the suggestions mentioned in

Nothing seems to work.


Can something interrupt the automatic update? Like working hours, tries to connect but can't immediately so its stops, or what?


Otherwise, system update from the settings, seems to be the same way. Doesn't prompts me with an update and restart.


Otherwise, if I manually click on update all in store, or check updates in system update, it works perfectly fine.


Only the triggering to do it by itself doesn't.

windows automatic updates

i have some questions about the windows automatic updates in windows xp pro w sp/2. ive got about forty updates they recommend , mostly for security but i only installed two today. after installing them i found them in my add/remove programs in the control panel, if i add all these updates that is a lot of space on my hd almost 1 gig. i thought that updates just updated files and not created new programs. should i innore all these update suggestions from microsoft?

The possible reason why Update apps automatically turn back on is that the Store app is running in the background. We suggest that you turn off the Store app. This way, it won't receive any updates or send notifications unless opened or turned on
manually.

To turn off Store app, follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo, then go to Settings.
• Click Privacy, then Background apps.
  
• On the list, locate Store and toggle it off.
