I experienced a 'glitch' last night - where my displays 2 - laptop & external began flickering a few times, then went out entirely. Ctl-Alt-Del did nothing & I ended up Powering down Hard holding power button 5 sec. Upon coming back up; Firefox Updated / did not restore my environment / went to do a Restore & I have no Restore points available. Using Disk Management it shows that Bitlocker Encryption shows as being active on my Primary Windows I think partition; it also shows 2 other partitions: EFI System Part & Recovery Partition. I suspect this is WHY I lost acce

Windows 10 Pro - Turn Bitlocker on

Hello Debbie,

By default, BitLocker will use a TPM to unlock the Windows OS drive with.

If a TPM is not available, then you would need to configure a group policy to allow using BitLocker without a TPM and with a password or USB instead.

The tutorial below with step 5, can show you step by step on how to do this.

Need to turn off Bitlocker to install Windows 10

Hi,

We suggest doing the following steps again to resolve the issue. To complete the procedure, make sure that you have the following information:

• You must be able to provide administrative credentials.
• The drive must be BitLocker-protected.

To suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption on an operating system drive, please follow the steps below:

• Click Start, click Control Panel, click
  System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.
• Click Suspend Protection for the operating system drive.
• A message is displayed, informing you that your data will not be protected while BitLocker is suspended and asking if you want to suspend BitLocker Drive Encryption.
  
• Click Yes to continue and suspend BitLocker on the drive.

Notification didn´t appear

Windows 10 has ben released for 1 day and a half,and I didn´t get the notification for installing.I reserved it.Can anyone help me?

PS I am running Windows 7 and it´s up to date.
