    Bluetooth totally disappeared from my computer - Had 2 meetings today & no headphones, no mic, etc: Aaarrrgghhh


    Why has it vanished over night?



    How do I get it back?


    When I restart my computer I get a message that a USB device is not recognised: I assume because it has to connect by bluetooth?

    Bluetooth disappeared from Windows 10

    Using Windows 10 with all updates. Yesterday I had Bluetooth, today I don't. The icon disappeared and it is gone from Device Manager listing. On Settings for Devices, the Bluetooth on/off button has disappeared.

    I recently upgraded to windows 10 pro from windows 7 pro x64. Bluetooth does not work fine.

    I recently upgraded to windows 10 pro from windows 7 pro x64. I am using a rocketfish bluetooth USB adapter. After the upgrade, my bluetooth was working fine. A few days ago, windows update ran when I re-started my computer and now the "bluetooth" option
    has disappeared from my devices app.

    The problem:

    • The "Bluetooth" tab in my Devices app does not appear and I cannot connect a bluetooth device.

    The current state of things:

    • I am running windows 10 pro on a desktop computer.
    • The rocketfish bluetooth USB adapter is plugged in and the LED shows that it is on.
    • The bluetooth adapter appears in my device manager under "libusbK USB Devices"
    • It is enabled in the device manager
    • The "Bluetooth Support Service" is running and the startup type is set to "Automatic"

    What I have tried, to no avail:

    • Physically removing and replacing the USB bluetooth adapter.
    • Un-installing/re-installing the drivers for the bluetooth adapter
    • Disabling/re-enabling the usb adapter in the device manager
    • Re-starting my computer
    • Every solution offered here: bluetooth is not working

    Bluetooth in windows 10

    My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

    I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

    Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision
