    Windows 10 Pro boots to a black screen.


    I have a number of Lenovo M710 PC's that have been having an issues where the system slows down. After restarting the PC the PC will boot to a black screen. CTRL-ALT-DEL does nothing, nor does CTRL-SHIFT-ESC. The caps locks does respond. We where able to get one PC to show a display after pressing CTRL-WINDOWS-SHIFT-B but only once on one PC. You do see a lot of disk activity but that is it. If you attempt to boot into safemode the system appears to hang at the Lenovo splash screen. The only way to fix the PC is to perform a system restore. We have made sure that the BIOS is at the latest level. I am unsure how to troubleshoot this further. Any ideas would be great.

    Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

    Try this quoted from "VisiHow" article "Repair Windows 7 Black Screen of Death":

    They, also, have some other options there, too.
    Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.

    Black Screen after Log on


    Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
