Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro - Can't locate wireless printer with static IP

This is my first post, so forgive any inadvertent errors while posting.
I have 3 laptops in my household, along with an older HP printer Office Jet Pro 8610. I was having an issue with the printer obtaining new IP address, and laptops could not find it. So I set the printer to have a static IP, and proceeded to delete the installed printer on laptop 1, then had it searched for a "new printer" which it found and installed the HP OJP 8610. No problem. Prints great.

Now when I do the same process on laptop 2 Win 10 will not find the printer. Laptop 3 same thing.
I have compared the wireless network settings of the 3 laptops and they appear to be the same. Internet works on all 3.

Laptop 1 - Windows 10 Version 1909 Build 18363.836
Laptop 2 - Windows 10 Version 1909 Build 18363.836
Laptop 3 - Windows 10 Version 1909 Build 18363.836

All 3 devices getting DHCP from the cable router, along with the HP OJP 8610 printer and all 3 devices configured as "private" wireless network. Let me know if you need more information.

Any ideas what might cause this? Probably user error but can't figure it out.

Win 10 keeps changing my printer static IP port to WSD, already turned off windows printer management

Have seen this problem on a few machines. WSD takes over as the default port from a port based on a static IP. When someone prints there are no errors except the printer prints nothing. Best advice I have seen for manually added printers is:

Control Panel -> Device and Printers -> Add A Printer -> The Printer I want isn't listed -> Add a printer using a TCP/IP address... -> change "Device Type:" from default "AutoDetect" to "TCP/IP Device".

That key last step may prevent the dreaded WSD port being added as an available port. Enter the IP and continue the installation. I tried adding an existing printer twice, one with AutoDetect and one with TCP/IP Device. The AutoDetect install showed up
as WDS, and the TCP/IP install showed up with static IP in the port and no available WDS ports listed.

Hopefully that method works for most cases.

Follow the steps below and check if the features to apply static IP is available in your device.

• Navigate to settings.
• Search or navigate to “Wi-Fi”.
• Scroll all the way down and tap “static ip”.
• Turn on “Configure network settings manually”.
• Key in the IP address, subnet mask and other details

Note: Do remember that your router / DHCP should support allocating static IP for this feature to work.

If the above feature is not available then your model may not support the same.

I have to reinstall my wireless printers everyday Is there a fix?

I used the disks to install them on the laptop & the desktop then updated the drivers online through HP. I have a static IP address for both printers. They have always remained the same. Any other suggestions please?
