Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro connected my BLE headphone as "other devices" but not as "audio"

Dear all,I got a BLE headphone "XROUND FORGE NC" and I trying to connected it to my laptopThe laptop is a Lenovo thinkpad.Laptop can see my headphone as a BLE device, but only connected as a "other device" but not "audio" so I couldn't set it as any sound output.I have tried to reboost the laptop / headphones & reinstall drivers & update windows & headphones' firmware.But none of them work right now. anyone hv similar experience could help me a bit? thanks!

My bluetooth audio devices arent connecting to my laptop, but others bluetooth devices work

I had the same issue. I think it is because Windows now also recognizes BLE devices and the Sony
WH-CH700N show up as BLE device and Bluetooth audio device. If you pair the headphones the same way you do before the update to Windows 10 2004 you connect to the BLE
device and therefore cannot play audio.

To connect to the audio device you have to switch off your headphone then when switching on your headphones hold the power button
until the voice says you are in pairing mode. Next go to the windows settings and search for new Bluetooth devices. There should be now two
devices visible. One is the BLE device and one is the Audio device. Connect to the audio device.

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted drivers/ settings to access Default device.

Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Step 2: I suggest you to connect the headphones, set the device as a default device and check if it helps

Follow the steps:

• Right click on the sound icon at the bottom right corner of the
  Taskbar.
• Click on Playback devices.
• Check if you are able to find the icon headphone in the list of connected playback devices.
• If yes, click on the icon and then click on Set default
  option.
• Click on Apply and then on OK.

Step 3: I suggest you to find the audio drivers from Device Manager, update them and check if it helps.

Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Device Manager, right click on the audio drivers and click on
Update driver software.

Method 1:

Run the Playing audio troubleshooter.

a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.

b) Type Troubleshooter in the
Search box and then press Enter.

c) Select Troubleshooting. Click on
View All and select Playing audio.

d) Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists, try the next method.

Method 2:

Set headphones as default audio device.

1. Right click on the volume icon and click on Playback Devices.

2. In the new windows click on the tab "Playback" and right click in the window and click onShow Disabled devices.

3. Now check if headphones are listed there and right click on it and choose enable.

4. Highlight that headphones and click on "Set as Default".

If the issue still exists, try the next method.

Method 3:

You may check the same issue with the new user account.

Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue. Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:

• Go to Settings.
• Choose Accounts and then select Other User Accounts towards the left.
• Select Add an Account.
• Enter a user name and hit Next.
• Click on Finish.
• Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
• Check if issue persists.
