    Windows 10 Pro constantly changing my setting (View).


    I have 2 PC's that has same Windows 10 Pro and occasionally or almost every 2 or 3 days of use, my setting from View-Hidden files and folders would change from Don't show hidden files, folders, or drives to Show hidden files, folders, and drives. And I have to physically change them.

    Today just one PC and not the other one!

    Why is that? Does anyone know? or is that common issue? I didn't have that problem until this year 2019.

    Folder View settings constantly changing

    Is there any way to stop Windows 10 from constantly changing my folder view settings. throughout the day I am constantly moving between different folders for work and am constantly changing the view settings. I like the detail view, apparently Microsoft
    does not and keeps changing to list, Large Icons, etc., etc.

    Hello Edward,

    To permanently change the view settings of the folders in your computer, you have to apply the changes to all folders. This way, view settings will not change regularly. For steps on how to do that, follow the steps provided by
    A_User_Here, dated on September 8, 2015, on this thread. This post was marked as the Most Helpful Reply among all the posts.

    If in case this workaround does not fix the issue, we suggest that you
    check for the latest updates for Windows 10    . This can also help us apply the changes and fixes for folder settings.

    Please let us know how these workarounds go.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
