Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro fails To recognize a new monitors proper resilution which is 2560 x 1440,...

I think it has something to do with windows 10 Pro saving settings because I am also having trouble when I change a setting in the ease of access center, in particular the make your mouse easier to use, activate a window by hovering over it. I uncheck it, hit apply and OK and it stops it until I reboot and it is back again. I have all the latest windows updates, I have updated the NVIDIA Drivers for my Quadro P200. I have tried uninstalling the monitors and restarting the computer nothing seem to work. In the settings window my Main Monitor shows My Pixio as a larger monitor graphic for my #1 monitor with a Recommended 2560 x 1440 resolution and for my seconded new monitor, which is a AXM Recommended 2560 x 1440 resolution shows a small monitor graphic with a recommend resolution of 1920 x 1080, which was the max resolution of my old second monitor. I'm thinking my old monitor settings were not removed from the registry and windows is looking at those settings instead of looking at the new monitor. I see many other ? about similar problems but none of the solutions seem to work, can anyone help?

have 2 monitors both 2560 x 1440 and the system will only allow one monitor to be 2560 by 1440 and the other only allows me to set to 1920 x 1080

I'm running a Nvidia P4000 8GB graphics card, it has four 1.4 display ports. I took your advice with the display port cables. I purchased two 1.4 display port cables, hooked everything up and Bam, both monitors are running at 2560 X 1440.
