    Windows 10 Pro key recognized as a home key?


    hi! I put in my key to activate windows and it says "we found a windows 10 home digital license for this device running on windows 10 pro. to activate using this digital license, you need to install windows 10 home" when its most definitely suppose to be windows pro.. I'm really unsure how to fix this without completely reinstalling windows to home which it may not work even then since it *is* a genuine pro keycontext:I got a new computer and ran it for a while on the trial version without a key till I got it from my old laptop.. The key I got was CLEARLY a windows pro key "when checking the

    Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

    I just did a deployment last night with a fresh 10 install using the newest ISO and a 7 Pro key, worked like a charm. Glad yours worked for you as well. *Toast :toast:
