Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro not detecting headphones with Realtek High Definition Audio Driver

Hi there! I got today a problem with my PC in Windows 10 Pro about my headphones. When i connect the headphones in the front 3,5mm combo jack, Windows and Realtek High Definiton Audio detect speakers, instead of headphones. My PC is a HP Compaq Pro 6300 SFF and the Windows is the 20H2 version. The Windows is activated, and the drivers are updated. I don't know how to resolve this problem, because i'm new on Windows.

Realtek High Definition Audio Driver and Windows 10

I am running Windows 10 Pro, version 1709, build 16229.125 and have built in Realtek High Definition Audio. Since this version was installed, I have no sound at all. I have updated drivers multiple times, tried the generic driver for audio and nothing makes
the slightest difference.

I'm assuming the update broke the audio, any suggestions to fix it (on the assumption that Microsoft aren't going to fix it themselves)?

i have a windows 10 dell desktop computer 64 bit 8gig memory..my question is this ..the audio drivers are high definition drivers manufactured by Microsoft..i would like to replace them with realtek high definition audio drivers is this possible and if
so how do i do it

Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.
