  1. Windows 10 Pro - Organization set policies

    Hello,

    I recently upgraded from Windows 10 Home to Pro through my school's product key. Only problem is that now Windows is telling me there are a bunch of policies that have been configured such as auto-update/auto-restart.

    I've gone into regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device\Update

    to try and fix some of these policies. I've set the values to 4 (disable) and now I've tried deleting them because they come back everyday! After disabling or deleting them, I have a short term fix, but what can I do to prevent them from coming back? I have found that once a day, the policies are back and new registries have been made.

    Thanks for any responses.

    Problems with *settings managed by your organization* and/or group policy setttings.

    Hello, some months back I think based on an update; I started seeing this message. I have been trying to troubleshoot this by searching for answers and trying various troubleshooting steps. This list is not exhaustive but;

    I have tried to change the telemetry data.

    Tried to change through elevated admin cmd prompt.

    Tried to reset group policy settings to default.

    Tried using gpedit.msc

    Changing privacy options.

    I have windows 10 pro and this is my personal computer, not intended to being a part of any organization. This is preventing me from making changes to my system that I want to. Please assist.
