Windows 10: Windows 10 pro product key not working

Hi there,


I bought a windows 10 pro usb flash drive in 2017, it was working fine. I had a problem with my laptop and had to replace the battery and the hard drive


I reinstalled Windows 10 now I am trying to upgrade using the product key I got in 2017 without success


Please find below the error message:


"The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. 0x800f0805"


Could you please help

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

Upgrade using a Windows 10 Pro product key To upgrade from Windows 10 Home if you have a Windows 10 product key:

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & security > Activation.
• Select Change product key, and then enter the 25-character Windows 10 Pro product key.
• Select Next to start the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

I just did a deployment last night with a fresh 10 install using the newest ISO and a 7 Pro key, worked like a charm. Glad yours worked for you as well. *Toast :toast:
