Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro product key

I purchased a refurbished Dell Optiplex 7040 from a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher. It came with windows 10 Pro installed. I have upgraded the M.2 ssd nvme device to a Samsung 970 evo plus however unable to install Samsung driver as Bios setting needs to be changed to AHCI from RAID. This will require a re-load of the Windows 10 software. System indicates my Windows 10 is activated in my Microsoft account, however in using various methods, I have come up with 3 different product keys. There is a Microsoft Windows 10 Pro For refurbished computers sticker on the computer case. Going into my Microsoft account, I see my computer however am unable to safely determine if my Windows software will re-load if needed or if the other 2 product keys will cause some confusion and require me to purchase a new copy.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

 

Why was I not asked for a product key when upgrading to Win 10?

According to your spec you have Win 10 Pro, but perhaps that doesn't reflect your PC.

You haven't stated which edition of Win 10 you have on this machine, nor what your Win 10 key is for.

For example, if you already have Win 10 Pro and your key is Win 10 Home, that would be a retrograde step.

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

Download Windows 10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.
