    Windows 10 Pro Sleep keeps resetting to 1 hour


    Sleep setting in Windows 10 Pro fully up to date keeps resetting to 1 hour. I go in, change it to 10 mins for example, it does it once and thenit resets to 1 hour every time.


    I can walk away from my PC with any confidence. 1 hour is too long to have 4 screens on. I note most people have the opposite issue, they keep going into sleep. Mine is doing the opposite and keeps resetting to 1 hour.


    Any help would be appreciated. It's been doing this over quite a few months now.

    windows 10 sleep resets to 1 minute

    every few days my desktop (Dell alienware, windows 10 pro, version 1803, os 17134.285) resets the power and sleep setting, "Sleep" to 1 minute. This is visible on the power & sleep panel (and the computer does sleep after a minute).

    This is a serious problem because I often work connected to remote computers and when the computer sleeps, those connections are lost and take a long time to manually reset. This is the computer sleeping, not the monitor.

    I've set this multiple times to 4 hours. I've set all power plans to 4 hours sleep. I've set the screensaver to 9999 minutes AND turned the screen saver off.

    There is nothing unusual installed or configured on the machine.

    What can cause the sleep timer to change?

    Dell alienware. windows 10 up to date.

    Power and sleep: sleep: "when plugged in PC goes to sleep after: RESETS TO 1 minute. I've set it to 4 hours. I've set it to Never.

    This reset happens regularly when nothing unusual is going on with the computer.

    Screen saver is disabled and set to maximum time out.

    Disabled sleep in the advanced menu

    No unusual software installed. None.

    To be clear that problem is NOT that the computer sleeps mysteriously. The problem is that something is changing the "power and sleep" sleep timer to 1 minute. Happens every day or so.

    Its a huge problem because I have remote sessions to work open that die when the connection drops.

    I've seen similar posts, but there the cause of sleep was mysterious. Here the cause is clearly visible.

    Factory Reset stuck at 1% for hours


    Hi so I recently just wanted to completely factory reset my PC after upgrading to windows 10 (of course keeping win 10 after reset) and even hours after the reset beginning its still frozen at 1%.

    Anyone got any ideas what to do?
