Windows 10: Windows 10 pro upgrade error 0xc004c003.

Hi, I tried upgrading my windows 10 Home to Windows 10 pro, however, I clicked the buy button instead of the upgrade button. A non-genuine Windows 10 Enterprise got installed for me instead of Windows pro and this deactivated windows on my laptop. I get an error code oxc004c003 whenever tried to activate windows. Please this is urgent as my daughters need to leave for school with this laptop in 2 days.I can provide order number if required,

You may try these steps and check if it helps.

• Push the Start button
• Type Settings
• Navigate to Update and Security
• Click on Activation

Due to high demand for Windows 10 globally, few of us may experience a temporary delay in activation. For Activation Error 0xC004C003; request you to wait for 24 hours and Windows 10 should activate automatically without any issue on your machine

Windows 10 Home to Pro upgrade problem

I bought a new PC with Windows 10 Home and after making sure it was up to date I went to Settings/Update/Activation/Microsoft Store and purchased the Windows 10 Pro upgrade. I clicked Install on the Microsoft Store window and when done I got the following error. "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you do have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004C003"

I clicked on Troubleshoot and it couldn't solve the problem and said to contact support for help which was no help as it just referenced a bunch of articles.

One thing I noticed is it shows Windows 10 Enterprise as the version. I purchased the Windows 10 Pro upgrade. I didn't know there was an Enterprise version and it wasn't listed on the upgrade page.

Any suggestions?

As per the error code 0xC004C003, it seems that you have entered an invalid product key. Please reply with the following details to assist with the appropriate troubleshooting steps:

• Have you recently changed any hardware in the computer?
  
• Which version of Windows is installed on the computer currently?
  
• Have you upgraded the computer to Windows 10 earlier?
