    Windows 10 Pro Upgrade Installed Unactivated Windows 10 Enterprise


    I recently updated my laptop from windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Home. I checked the Activation status after the upgrade to Windows 10 Home and it showed that I have valid digitally activated home system.


    I then went to the Microsoft Store and purchased the Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Everything was progressing normally with the install until the upgrade windows showed and error and said it could not complete. I used System Information and confirmed I was still running the Home version. I then restarted the system and the system installed several things during the reboot. Once the system was running I checked System Information and it said I was running an un activated copy of Windows 10 Enterprise. I went to the activation screen I could find no way to get it to activate Windows 10 Pro.


    I cannot find who to contact at Microsoft to get my system back to either Home or Pro at this point.


    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I did, what was supposed to, upgrade from 10 Home to 10 Pro in the Settings/Store apps. However, it installed an unactivated 10 Enterprise instead!

    Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

    I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.

    Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

    As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
