    Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 OS Build 17134.556 on Surface Book Intel R i7-6600 CPU


    I really have a strange problem on my laptop after the recent windows update. Whenever I have a file explorer open with a folder having PDF files in it my CPU usages jumps to 60 to 70% slowing down the system. If I have the file explorer open with any folder that does not have PDF files, I don't have this issue. I checked for any virus, malware etc and there is no problem with the same. I found few similar issues reported on the forum, but I did not find any definite solution for the same. I am on latest patch set so I have no idea on how to fix this issue!


    When this happens all the icons on desktop and slide bar keeps flickering.


    I tried several possibilities of suggested on forums like changing the performance settings for icons , uninstalling adobe reader etc but it is of no use.


    Any help is greatly appreciated.
