Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro vs Enterprise

I have the choice between installing Pro or Enterprise. Enterprise seems like the clear winner here. Is there any reason to install Pro? I don't want / need the store or Cortana.

Pro vs. Enterprise benchmarks...

Some sites benchmarking hardware include testing with 10 Pro and Enterprise, like this site.

With the limited number of benchmarks, the Enterprise version performs about 7-8% better:





Presumably and pretty much standard with benchmarking, the hardware platform is the same in both cases. If that's true, might be big if, the actual difference is the W10 version.

What would cause the performance difference between the two W10 version?

Luckily, you can quickly downgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro by just changing the product key to the one for Pro.

Downgrading Windows 10 enterprise to pro

The procedure is a bit arcane, but I have managed to convert an Enterprise Evaluation to Pro, doing it in two steps: EnterpriseEval to Enterprise (unactivated); then Enterprise (unactivated) to Pro. Details here.
