Windows 10: Windows 10 Pro x64 OEM not activating with a proper OEM key - Error Code: 0x803FA067

Hey all.After using my newly-built PC with an unactivated copy of Windows for, like, months, I finally decided to get rid of the watermark in the corner by activating with a new key. Only problem? It didn't work - gave me an error code, specifically error code 0x803FA067.Here's the output of the slmgr.vbs /dlv command:

There is no difference between the OEM disc and the Retail disc with Windows 7. A retail disc will accept a OEM or Retail key, and vise versa.

If the OEM Key wasn't going to work with the disc you have, it would have stopped you during the install when it first asked you for the key, not during activation.

What is likely the problem is that, since the OEM version has already been activated once, it is failing activation again. Activate it over the phone using the option given to you on the failed activation screen, and you shouldn't have a problem activating it.

 

Can Windows 10 Pro Use Windows 7 Pro OEM Key?

I purchased Windows 7 Pro OEM DVD while back.

I never installed Windows 7 Pro OEM on a system.

I just opened the Windows 7 Pro OEM DVD today.

I downloaded ISOs for both Win10 Home and Win10 Pro both x64.

I'm running VMWare Workstation 11 on my laptop which is running Win 8.1 Update.

I installed Windows 10 Pro x64 in VMWare Workstation 11 on my laptop.

Installation went fine.

Problem I'm having is trying to activate Windows 10 Pro x64.

I enter the key and it comes back with following message:

The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one.

Error Code:0xc004f050

Can the Key from the Win 7 Pro OEM be used to activate Windows 10 Pro?

I got a problem too when activating win 7 home premium oem. The error code 0x80072ee2 and message "The operation timed out" ??
